5th May is Children's Day in Japan.
During this day, many families would decorated their homes with koinobori (carp-shaped wind socks), in honor of sons and in the hope that they will grow up healthy and strong.
Although I have daughter, I do hope that by make these carp rice balls, she will too, grow up to be healthy and strong.
